The work of the Holy Spirit

Posted on By Harun Mbijiwe No Comments on The work of the Holy Spirit

One of the greatest blessings that were bestowed to the church of God when Jesus left this planet, was the person Holy Spirit. In these end-time days, the church cannot do anything substantial without the presence of the Holy Spirit.

He, the Holy Spirit, was spoken of in the book of Luke 24:51 and Acts 10:4-5 as the promise. In the day of Pentecost, 10 days after the ascension of our lord Jesus Christ, He is sent to the church in Jerusalem according to Acts 2:1-4.

Before we look at this wonder let us first ask ourselves:

Who is the Holy Spirit?

There are many myths and misconceptions about the Holy Spirit. Some view the Holy Spirit as just a force, power or energy. Others believe that the Holy Spirit is the impersonal power that God makes available to followers of Christ.
But if we look into the Bible, it declares that the Holy Spirit is God. He is the third person of the Trinity. Being a divine person, the Holy Spirit has a mind, emotions, and a will. He possesses the same character with God and was active in to the Old Testament as well as the New testament. He was involved in creative activities in Genesis. He is a HE not an it.
